The small hotel with the great charm!

If you are planning to visit Kalmar during your holiday or if you are brought here because of work – Hotel Hilda is the right place for you.

We are not just a hotel; next door to Hilda you find our restaurant offering everything from fresh salads to yummy sandwiches and great espresso coffee. We are also offering the traditional Swedish specialty sandwich layer cake – a must to try for everyone visiting Sweden. You can eat in our dining room but our food is also suitable to bring to one of all the wonderful picnic areas that the region has to offer.

Breakfast is served from 7 to 9.30 am on weekdays and from 8 to 10.30 pm during weekends. If the weather is nice you can enjoy your breakfast outside in our lovely garden.

You check in through the restaurant, Kallskänken, before 6 pm on weekdays and before 2 pm on Saturdays. If you want to come later than that or if you are arriving on a Sunday you check in yourself with a code that we provide you by email or by phone. Hotel Hilda is very small (we only have eight rooms!) which makes the hotel extra charming and gives it its special atmosphere. It is unmanned during the nights but we are never far away – we live just across the street! Check out before 12 am.  

The prices are great; 795 sek/night for single rooms, and 1095 sek/night for double rooms. The prices include both breakfast and parking and you can pay using cash, card or invoice. The hotel was renovated in 2005 but has kept its cozy feeling of homeliness and many of the rooms still have their original tile stoves. The building in itself is a charming, typical Swedish wood house built in the 20^th century.
